Thanks. ;)" Staff Answer There are 15 mls in .5 ounce of Vitamin E. All ingredients for our recipes should be weighed. This is the most accurate way of measuring. The only ingredients that are not weighed are usually colors which are added in measuring spoons or millileters which are measured by using a plastic dropper. Staff Answer Since this is a anhydrous product, you would not need a preservative. If using our fragrance oils, they do not contain water. Since this is a body butter, there should not be any water contamination when using. Adding Vitamin E as an anti-oxidant is all you would need for this product. If you want to add an oil to the base, it will cut down on the lather. You can add a milk powder, Jojoba Milk or Silk Amino Acids for added moisture or silkiness. How old is the oil when you use it? How are you storing the product? What's the temperature? Opaque or clear container? These are things that can speed up or slow down oxidation, so they will have an effect on your product. I'm pretty sure the T-50 is cut with 50% vegetable oil. I add the T-50 to a lot of items like body butter, scrubs, lip balm, and lotion and I really like it. It is an anti-oxidant but it won't take place of an actual preservative in products that contain water or could come in contact with water. "Great Product but like all Vitamin E its pricey" COMMENTS:  I love that this is a 50 percent blend to make it easier to apply without dilution and mixing. Tocopherol mixtures are a bit too expensive for me to justify using the T-90 blend and having to mix it with another carrier oil just does not seem like fun to me. Aside from the benefits to my customers' skin I also like that tocopherols act as a mild preservative. I like to think that this helps extend the shelf-life of my bars but I can't say for sure.
